ANTICIPATING OUR LORD’S RETURN 1 Cor. 15:51-58,Matt. 24:1-12 1 Corinthians 15:51-58 51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? 56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. 3   And as He sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto Him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? 4   And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.  5   For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.   6   And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7   For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.   8   All these are the beginning of sorrows.  9   Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10   And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.  11   And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.  12   And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. INTRODUCTION When we look forward for His return, we are more likely to have biblical perspective on life. The spiritual principle is an eager anticipation of the Lord’s return keeps us living productively. I.There should be an excitement in anticipation for His return.</div>

A. Excitement to see our Savior face to face  </div>

Ex. Blind beggar       Luke 18:35-43 B.  Excitement to see our saved love ones who passed away.  1 Tess. 4:16, Rev. 21:4 C. Excitement to live in the place where God prepared for us.          Jn. 14:1-2 D. What are the things that makes you excited? II. There should be restoration of broken fellowship with God. Ps.51:10-12 A. There should be restoration of broken fellowship with God. B. Forsaking of our known sins. III: There should be an anticipation for the accounting day. 2 Cor. 5:10 A. We should be reminded that it is a must to give an account for all God entrusted to us. B. We will give an account for our time, talents and money. C. We will also give an account for the blood of unsaved people especially for the blood of our unsaved love ones. Ezek. 3:17-21 IV. There should be watchfulness for our enemies. 1 Pet. 5:8 A. We should be vigilant on how our enemies attack us. B. It was being prophesied that if it were possible, they will deceive the very elect (saved). Matt. 24:24 Question</div>

A. What rewards are you expecting someday?  B. What position are you expecting during the millennial reign of Christ? CONCLUSION Have you been fulfilling your own goals and desires?   Have you been actively  investing your life in seeking and obeying the will of God? Are you ready for His imminent return? </div>

Glance means momentary view. Let us view momentarily  our eternal future. 
 
1st Point: 
 
Glancing to our Eternity future will encourage us to this discouraging world. 
- II Timothy 3:1-7 -

<li>Crimes are worsening.</li>

Despite of being busy, He has always time to pray to His father.

That He was alone.

<li>Though He had so much work to do with others, yet He chose sometimes to be alone, to set us on example.</li>

2nd Point: 
That He was alone at prayer.

<li>That was His business in this solitude to pray.</li>
<li>Christ set us an example of a secret prayer.</li>
<li>When the disciples went to the sea, their master went to pray.</li>
<li>When Peter was to be sifted as wheat, Christ prayed for Him. - Luke 22:31-32 -</li>

That He was long alone.

   When we got saved, God called us to be labourers. 
 
1ST POINT:  
All believers are God labourers. 
I Cor. 3:9 
Believers – all saved people. 
 
2ND POINT: 
Our labour will be tested. 
  I Cor. 3:13 
It will be tested by fire (e.g. if your labor is like the wood, when burned it turned into ashes, when you labour is like gold is becomes more purer). 
 
3RD POINT: 
Our labour will be rewarded. 
 I Cor.3:14, I Cor. 15:58

In times of tribulation, God is our Overcomer.

In times of need, God is our Supplier.

How did Caleb conquer the mountainous land promised to him?

Caleb drive out first his enemies. 
His promised land has a lot of enemies.

He fought for 45 years before he got the land.
