Christ's Example of Prayer

Introduction:
Despite of being busy, He has always time to pray to His father.

1st Point:
That He was alone.

• He went apart in a solitary place.
• Though He had so much work to do with others, yet He chose sometimes to be alone, to set us on example.

2nd Point:
That He was alone at prayer.

• That was His business in this solitude to pray.
• Christ set us an example of a secret prayer.
• When the disciples went to the sea, their master went to pray.
• When Peter was to be sifted as wheat, Christ prayed for Him.

3rd Point:
That He was long alone.
- Matt. 14:25 -

• He prayed long night in prayer.

Question:
How long you prayed alone with God?

• He was there till morning praying 4th watch – 3 am to 6 am

Conclusion:
Spending time with God in prayer nurtures a vital relationship. It equips us to meet life’s challenges.
